SummaryThe mission of the Environmental Engineering program is to 1. Provide a high quality learning environment for students to gain fundamental and specialized engineering knowledge, while they develop skills in critical thinking, communication, teaming and leadership. 2. Create opportunities for students and faculty to conduct basic and applied research that contributes to society by advancing sustainable engineering principles and practices. 3. Provide Environmental Engineering leadership and service to the state, the profession, and society at large. The Certificate Programs in Environmental Engineering requires that a student take 4 graduate level courses totaling twelve credit hours. The Certificate can be obtained with one of the following concentrations: This degree is part of the Commonwealth Graduate Engineering Program through Virginia Tech.
