Career and Technical Education Professional Studies Courses |
|
SummaryThis 15-credit hour series of online courses is designed to assist career and technical education teachers, currently holding a Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) provisional license, to meet pedagogy course requirements for their VDOE Collegiate Professional License or Technical License. In addition to meeting the VDOE pedagogy course requirements, the courses can also be used to satisfy half of the requirements for a Virginia Tech CTE master’s degree. The remaining half can also be taken virtually with a blend of online and interactive videoconferencing (IVC) courses. Individuals interested in learning more about the master’s degree can go to CTE MS Degree Requirements. Note: Students who know they plan to earn a CTE master’s degree should apply to Virginia Tech as a degree-seeking student. Those wishing to take this series of courses for licensure requirements only should apply using the “Commonwealth Campus” status. (Courses taken by students under the “Commonwealth Campus” status may be counted towards the master’s degree. However, students in this situation will be required to re-apply to Virginia Tech as a degree-seeking student). Delivery
