Is eLearning right for you?
Program Options:
Virginia Tech offers eLearning degrees and certificates at the graduate level. Bachelor's degrees are not available. Program courses are delivered online, via interactive videoconferencing, or by a mix of online and videoconferencing components.

Virginia Tech offers three main types of eLearning courses:
- Online courses for university credit
Courses are accessed over the internet and can ususally be taken from any computer in the world. Courses are for regular, university credit and take place over a set term (6 wks in summer, 14 wks in spring and fall). Students need reliable access to email and the internet.Details...

Non-credit, lifelong learning courses are accessed over the internet and can be taken at any time from any computer. Courses are for personal and professional development and are self-paced (access to materials is for one year). Students need reliable access to the internet. Details...

- Read about the different types of eLearning courses Virginia Tech offers (online credit, videoconferencing, or online non-credit). Note the formats that would work for you.
- Identify courses of interest by searching the course catalog.
- Read the descriptions and expectations for the individual courses that interest you.
- Follow the instructions on the course description pages for Registration.
- Watch carefully for emails from us that will help you complete all steps of the process and get started in your course(s).
