ENGR 5004 - The Systems Engineering Process
Systems Engineering has emerged as an important profession in the design, development, and management of large, complex systems. The purpose of this course is to present and apply the systems engineering process to the design and analysis of engineering systems. The entire systems engineering life cycle will be covered in detail including: definition of system need, identification of requirements, preliminary system design, detail design and implementation, utilization and support, and finally phase out and disposal. The systems engineering process will be described for hardware systems, software systems, and engineering processes.
